This page covers texts sent by the Rachel Hurley for Tennessee campaign. Short version: real people send the messages, we tell you who we are, and one word - STOP - ends it.
Program name and description
The program is Rachel Hurley for Tennessee, the peer-to-peer text message program of Rachel Hurley’s campaign for U.S. Congress in Tennessee’s 5th District. Messages are sent individually by the candidate and campaign volunteers - not by an autodialer. Messages cover the campaign, voter registration deadlines, early voting and election dates, volunteer opportunities, events, and requests for support, including donation links.
Message frequency
Message frequency varies. Most people will receive a few messages per month, with more frequent messages near election dates. This is a recurring messaging program - you may receive messages until you opt out or the campaign ends.
Cost
Message and data rates may apply. Your mobile carrier’s standard messaging and data charges apply to every message you receive from or send to us. We never charge you to receive texts, but your carrier might.
How to opt out
Reply STOP to any message and you will be opted out. You’ll receive one final message confirming the opt-out, and then nothing else. We honor opt-outs immediately and suppress opted-out numbers from all future sends. You can also email hello@rachelfortn.com and ask to be removed.

Carriers
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Supported carriers include all major U.S. carriers, but delivery is not guaranteed on every network at all times.
Privacy
How we handle your information - including our promise that no mobile opt-in data or phone numbers are shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes - is covered in our privacy policy.
Eligibility
This program is intended for U.S. residents 18 or older.
Changes
We may update these terms; the effective date at the top reflects the latest version. Continued participation after changes means you accept them.
